University Heights is one of the oldest neighborhoods in San Diego.
Located just west of Normal Heights and south of Interstate 8 this
area has gone through a tremendous renovation in the past few years.
Adams Avenue continues its path and the storefronts have changed.
Cozy shops and fun dining is available along this area. There are
plenty of low-rise condominiums and some of the single family homes
are the oldest in the city.
University Heights – still a “sleeper” area of
San Diego can offer the homebuyer a tremendous value if the urban
city lifestyle is your thing. It just takes seeing a lot of “Open
Houses” before deciding upon the perfect home for you.
Most of the homes on streets like Panorama Drive have been bought
and restored to their former glory. Homes on the side streets with
fantastic views of Mission Valley are premium.
Convenience-wise, this area cannot be beat, figure about a 8 minute
drive to Lindbergh Field and a 10 minute drive to downtown. Easy
access is through the 163 via the I-8 or through University Boulevard,
Park Boulevard, and Texas Street off the I-8.
